What We're Building Toward

Modest support. Real capacity.

We're not asking for much, and we're honest about why we're asking at all: right now, one camera and one exhausted, unpaid crew is the entire operation. A little goes a long way toward turning occasional videos into a real, sustained publishing schedule.

01

Cameras & Production Gear

A second camera to own outright instead of renting one for every shoot, proper lighting, and the basic kit we're still missing.

02

Reliable Power on Shoot Days

Nairobi's power cuts currently threaten to end a shoot mid-conversation. A backup power source keeps the day intact.

03

A Small, Paid Production Team

Our crew has carried this on volunteer time since the start. Even modest, time-limited support changes what's possible.

Give Equipment Instead

Working gear helps just as much as cash — sometimes more, since a lot of what we need is easier and cheaper to find abroad than it is here. Refurbished or new, old or current, all of it is useful to us. If any of this is sitting unused, email us first at info@afrikharootsnetwork.com and we'll figure out together whether it's a fit before anything ships.

Tell Us What To Cover

Know someone in Kenya we should sit down with? A place, a story, a piece of history you want us to go find? Send it to info@afrikharootsnetwork.com or drop it in the comments on any of our posts — we're building the schedule around what the community actually wants to see.
